Introduction
Ampsa (Pty) Ltd is a private South African company. Ampsa develops, markets, and sells software packages for designing radio frequency and microwave impedance-matching networks, amplifiers, and oscillators. The software is licensed and not sold. Your rights as an Ampsa customer are outlined in Ampsa’s license agreement.
Ampsa’s privacy policy applies to users of its software and its services, visitors to its websites, potential customers engaging with Ampsa and attendees to any Ampsa event.

Personal Information Collection
Ampsa collects information that you provide voluntarily. The information provided usually includes your name, your telephone number, your email address, your physical address, your mail address, the company you work for, your job title, your username for Ampsa's website services, and contact preferences. All personal information provided by you must be true and you must notify us promptly of any changes to your personal information.
When an Ampsa software license is locked to a computer, the locking information required must be provided by you and is used by Ampsa to create the required license. No locking information is required when the software is protected with a USB key.

Cookies and tracking technologies are used on Ampsa’s websites. This is being done for functional reasons, to improve efficiency, to improve your browsing experience, to gain an understanding of how the website is used and to optimize Ampsa’s marketing strategies.
Some cookies are required for Ampsa’s website to operate. Other cookies help to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of accounts. Cookies can also store information on the choices you have made previously. The tracking technologies are used to extract website statistics and browsing patterns and to track and target your interests.

The purpose of collecting the information stated is to contact you, to conclude a sale, to set up and manage your account, to provide support, to allow customers on support to download the latest Ampsa software releases, to render the services required or requested by you, to administer and improve Ampsa’s services, to communicate with you, to prevent fraud and to protect the Ampsa software licensed.

You must sign up as a member on Ampsa's website to download the latest software releases. Membership is usually restricted to Ampsa customers with active support agreements.
Your Ampsa username will be visible to other Ampsa members when your application to be a member has been approved. You can set your username to be private after logging into the Ampsa member area. The personal information provided in your profile (your name, your contact information, the company you work for, etc.) is always private.

If you have given permission for it, Ampsa may also contact you with news, events and special offers related to the products or services already rendered to you or in which you have shown an interest. You may withdraw your permission for this at any time by emailing us.

Ampsa may disclose your personal information if legally required to do so. It may also do so to protect or defend its own rights and property, and to protect itself against legal liability.
Data Retention
Ampsa will retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Ampsa may also retain your personal data to comply with legal and accounting requirements.
Data Security Measures

The security of your personal data is important to Ampsa. However, transmission over the internet and information storage are not totally secure, and hacking is a real threat. Ampsa cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat Ampsa’s security and access or modify your personal data. If a security breach is detected, you will be informed of the event by email.

Customer information is stored on Ampsa’s computers and backup media. Access to these computers and backup media is restricted to Ampsa’s employees. Ampsa’s computers are password protected and are also protected with anti-virus software. Ampsa’s Wi-Fi network is private and protected by a firewall. Ampsa’s computers are scanned regularly for viruses and malware.

User Rights and Consent
You provide implicit consent for your information to be collected, processed, and stored when you buy a software license or a service from Ampsa.

You have the right to access any personal information stored, the right to request corrections to any personal information stored, and the right to request deletion of any personal information stored.

A request for deleting your data may be refused if there is a legal or lawful basis to do so.
Third-Party Sharing
Ampsa does not share your personal information with third parties unless it is legally required to do so.
Information derived from traffic on Ampsa’s websites may be shared with third-party providers of analytics and marketing services for the purposes stated above.
Updates and Changes
Ampsa’s privacy policy will be updated when necessary. Ampsa customers on support will be informed of any such changes by email. The updated policy will also be uploaded to Ampsa’s websites.
